Sandra helps clients improve their quality of health particularly women by targeting important areas such as: lifestyle, nutrition, adrenal fatigue, hormonal balance, prenatal health, IBS/IBD, weight loss and mind/body connection. In addition, Sandra teaches Yoga/Suspension Yoga.

WHY SEE A HOLISTIC NUTRITIONIST?

Holistic Nutritionists help clients by using a "whole" approach to health (mind, body and soul) as opposed to focusing on isolated symptoms. They help clients achieve a nourishing, balanced, whole diet and lifestyle. Clients learn how to regain power and control over their health and improve their quality of life as diet and lifestyle have a huge impact on overall health, mental and physical wellbeing.

WHAT IS INVOLVED IN A NUTRITIONIST CONSULTATION?

During the initial consultation a thorough health/family history will be gathered as well as; allergies, current medications, supplements/herbs, areas of concern and personal health goals. This information is used to identify the root causes of imbalances and will help create a customized treatment program that includes food planning, supplements and lifestyle recommendations. 

During the first follow-up session the client will gain insight of major imbalances and root causes of concerns. Clients will receive his/her customized treatment plan and detailed explanation on how to start the healing process. 

Subsequent sessions and follow-ups will evaluate healing progress, provide support and will be customized as needed to achieve desired results. 

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Clients should expect a supportive, relaxing, interactive and educational experience that will leave them motivated and empowered to regain full control of their health and wellness in a non-judging and compassionate environment.

As clients change their lifestyle and diet they will start feeling more healthier and energetic and their immune system will get stronger. Clients will understand that they have responsibility and full control over their health and that their lifestyle choices have a huge impact over their health.

Clients will learn a new relationship to food/eating, lifestyle and will gain insight that in order to achieve optimal health their "whole" being needs to be nurtured, respected and loved.

Meet Sandra Bernal founder of LunaSun HW

Sandra Bernal is a Toronto, Ontario based Registered Nurse, Certified Nutritional Practitioner and a Certified Yoga Instructor. Sandra has always been very passionate about health, wellness and helping others to achieve optimal health.

Upon graduation from the University of Western Ontario as a Registered Nurse (2009), Sandra moved to Nova Scotia where she gained Emergency Nursing training and few years later made the move to Toronto, Ontario to continue to build her Emergency Nursing experience.

Sandra’s Nursing experience evolved into the gastrointestinal and autoimmune disorder’s field. Working in these areas sparked Sandra’s interest to become a Holistic Nutritionist and Yoga instructor so she could assist these population in a more holistic/integrative way. During this time, Sandra developed adrenal fatigue and hormonal imbalances (particularly cystic acne) not only from her many years of intensive shift work, but also from the emotional distress resulting from the loss of her older brother from terminal cancer.

Sandra knew all these physical and mental stresses were depleting her body and soul from vitality, and while aware of this, Sandra applied holistic nutrition/lifestyle principles with yoga therapy and quickly regained full control of her health and wellness.​ This personal experience deeply influenced and inspired her family, friends and coworkers so they could improve their health as well, while living their busy lives.

In 2019 Sandra graduated from the Institute of Holistic Nutrition with honours as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner and became the founder of “LunaSun Holistic Wellness “ in which she educates and empowers her clients to achieve optimal health through holistic nutrition/lifestyle, yoga, and alternative treatments. Furthermore, Sandra also organizes seasonal health and wellness workshops within Ontario and South America.


When Sandra is not working as a nurse or nutritionist, you can find her exploring nature, traveling to exotic places, and spending time with her family and friends.
